At about 4:15 am on Sunday morning, the staff of the Marriott Residence Inn downtown saw a young woman walking through the lobby. She was obviously upset and walked out crying. An employee asked if the woman needed help, but the woman kept walking.

Soon after the woman walked out of the lobby, a man who was later identified as 19-year-old Zabihullah Mohmand followed the woman outside and performed what the employee believed was verbal harassment. Police public information officer Lydia Arnold (Lydia Arnold) explained.

"911 received a call from the victim and the local motel, and they wanted to report seeing some worrying behavior between men and women," Arnold said. "Officials were able to link the victim to Missoula's resources to provide immediate medical assistance to the victim, conduct a preliminary investigation, and obtain a preliminary statement from the victim."

According to court documents, the female victim called 911 at about 4:30 in the morning and reported that she had just been raped. She said that Mohmand was traveling from Afghanistan to the rest of the world, and she had just met him in Badland.

The victim said that Mohammad asked her to return to his hotel room, and she agreed. When they arrived in the room, the victim said that she told Mohmand that she did not want anything to happen.

Out of respect, KGVO will not provide any detailed information about the alleged incident.

Arnold said: “Other police officers can find the suspect and ensure the safety of the area where the crime occurred.” “Detectives from the Missoula Police responded to the scene and contacted the suspect, potential witnesses and victims. Detectives from the Missoula Police Department are still investigating the case."

Mohmand reported that he and the victim had consensual sex. Mohmand is currently accused of having sexual intercourse without consent.
